Meet Neeraj

Neeraj Egbert, DPT

Neeraj was born in India and completed his undergraduate at the University of Delhi. With an intense desire to explore new places Neeraj moved to the US in 1994 to volunteer and work at a local Louisville YMCA. In 2004 Neeraj graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Over the course of 19 years Neeraj has treated patients with various musculoskeletal injuries and post op orthopedic patients. 
 
Neeraj is certified in Functional Movement Screen, Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Dry Needling. Key areas that drive Neeraj’s practice are innovation, research, technology and helping athletes of all abilities rehab from injuries and excel more than they can even imagine.  Neeraj’s treatment philosophy is to use functional movement analysis and specific targeted rehabilitative exercises to help patients to identify, set goals and then reach and continue to maintain optimal functional level.
 
Neeraj is also an endurance athlete and loves running on trails especially in the mountains. In the last 7 years Neeraj has completed 20 ultramarathons in 19 different states including five 100 mile races. His goal is to complete ultramarathons in all 50 states in the US.
 
Neeraj is inspired by nature, his family and his patients. He has 2 teenage sons who are also endurance athletes. Neeraj believes the one thing we can all do more of is to go outside, appreciate nature, speak for its preservation, and consider environmental sustainability in all that we do.
